2026-2027 Lancer Football Season Information

Football starts early! We will begin the season this year on Tuesday, August 25. This is for all Grade 10, 11, and 12 athletes that are interested in playing. Please arrive to the field by 1:00pm on August 25 wearing athletic clothing and cleats, as we will be completing the initial tryout for all players without football gear. The following day, August 26, you will need to arrive at 2:00pm to receive gear (unless you are a player that already has it from Spring Camp), and practice will run from 3:00pm-6:00pm. Tournament & Transportation Fees:

Team Fee

(SRS/ASAA Registration, Sports Medicine Supplies, Team Photo, Team Filming & HUDL Fee, Equipment Maintenance, Jersey Cleaning, Security, Certified Athletic Therapist at most Practices and all Games.)

Equipment Fee

(School Equipment User Fee, Mouthguard, Team Socks, and Under Armour Zip Hoodie.)

Optional Purchase

Girdle – The optional charge will show up on an athletes Power School account if the athlete needed a girdle at equipment handout. (It is mandatory to have a girdle when practicing & playing.)

Please note up to $500.00 will be charged to an athlete’s power school account if all school football equipment is not returned at the conclusion of the season.


Football fees will be added to the athletes MyCBE account before the Parent Meeting. Fees must be paid in full by September 11, 2026 at the latest.  If families require financial assistance they are welcome to contact Katie Birss at kabirss@cbe.ab.ca

Transportation will be provided for all athletes to and from games at Shouldice Athletic Park. Shane Donovan has his class 2 bus licenses and will be responsible for driving the athletes to and from in the school owned bus.
