Last weekend, Scarlett Robotics Team 20718 (Scarlett Lancelots) and 22531 (Scarlett Lancelittles) competed in their first event of the season.

Despite great enthusiasm and effort, we did not do as well as hoped though good news we are off to our next competition today!

This weekend, we will be competing again. The event is Saturday at Bishop O’Byrne High School in Shawnessy. We hope to have fans out so drop in and cheer the teams on. The event runs from about 9 am to 3:30 pm.

Student Leadership Initiatives

Helping Hampers is one of Scarlett’s largest and most important fundraisers. All donated money will be put towards building hampers of essential house-hold items, clothing, gifts, and gifts cards for families in need, right in our school community. Our school rallied to ensure these families have what they need over the winter months. Thank you for your support!

As another cool incentive to collect donations for the Helping Hampers fundraiser, Leadership put on a super fun event where students had the opportunity to tattoo their teachers! Don't  worry - they are temporary tattoos! From Monday November 24th - Wednesday December 3rd, students purchased various temporary tattoo(s) (sizes and designs) and assign them to teacher(s) of their choice. On Friday December 5th teachers wore their temporary tattoos all day. All proceeds generated by this event went directly to our Helping Hampers families. Thanks for your support!

Scarlett Leadership is reviving the Menstrual Movement initiative. The purpose of this project is to end the stigma surrounding periods, provide education for alternate products such as menstrual cups, period under wear and sustainable pads and tampons. In addition we are hoping to provide free products in bathrooms. If you would like to make a donation of pads or tampons, there is a red box located in the main office for donation drop off. Thank you for your support. A huge thank you to Susan Hume and TC Energy for a large corporate donation to support this initiative!
